Submitted by Anita Eickenhorst. This could be a Floyd County school; could be a Flint school. Anita's grandmother Margaret Rebecca Muldown was a school teacher and since it came from her photo album, the teacher could be Margaret. Wording on the back is, "Spring Term." Probably early 1900's. Can you identify people or the building?

Submitted by K. Kameran (2007). The wedding picture was taken at E. Willard Shure Studio in Decorah. It might be one of Mrs. Anna Ptacnik's daughters. Can you identify the couple?

Marie married Frank Prochaska 29 June 1871 on her 22 birthday and they lived in Chickasaw County.

Anna married Joseph Moudry

Katerina married Joseph Novak 12 Fenruary 1878 in Spillville and later moved to the area of Vesleyville, ND

Submitted by Michael Rooney. This appears to be the New Hampton school. An unidentified photo that I inherited. Taken no later that 1919. Somewhere in the photo Florence, Charles and Weston Hillman. Can you identify them or the others?

Submitted by Darlene Williams. The Greenwood School class picture circa 1913, 1914, 1915. Paul Langle is second row, second from left. Can you identify the others?

Found by an antique collector in a box of postcards purchased at an auction in Salem, Arkansas. No connection between photo and postcards. No photo dates.

WHO IS SHE? Picture labeled "Bob Erion & Aunt, 1939." Bob's aunt would be an ERION or CLARK. Clara Erion Scholz would be about 54 at the time; so could be her. Clara's husband George Scholz was mayor of Alta Vista. Bob's father was Charles August Erion.

WHO ARE MARIE LENTZ JENS AND MRS. FRANK LENTZ. Picture labeled "Marie Lentz Jens, Mrs. Frank Lentz holding Darlene, Agnes Erion. Sunday, June 4, 1939 at Mother's home in Alta Vista, Iowa." Darlene and Agnes known by submitter but looking for identification of the other two people.

WHO IS THIS GREAT AUNT? Picture labeled "Darlene & Great Aunt, 1939." Darlene Erion Orr is the baby. The Aunt must be an Erion or Clark. In 1939, Darlene's great aunt Kate Erion Winn (daughter of Christian and Christina Erion) would be about 66 and lived in Alta Vista. Might be her.

WHO ARE THEY? Picture unlabeled. Taken about 1939 at Alta Vista. The woman in the photo might possibly be a sister of Leah Clark Erion. There is another thought this might be Alma and Wilken Offen. Alma's mother and Leah Clark Erion's mother were twin sisters. Wilken and Alma may have had 2 daughters, Ruth and Sarah, and lived near Bonair.

This photo was contributed by Rebecca Richardson in September 2007. She obtained it in a box of photos that her grandmother (Helen Luhring Gorman 1890 - 1990) had and were given to her by her aunt. In addition she found the following article that appeared in the Nashua Reporter on 4 April 1907 and has concluded that the photo and article go together.

"Doloras" at the Opera House

The beautiful play of "Dolores, or Through the Fires of Sorrow," a drama in three acts, will be presented at the opera house, Nashua, Friday evening, April 12, by local talent. The proceeds are to be used for the benefit of the Catholic school. The following is the cast of characters:
