Passed Away Friday
Margaret Eleanor Felcher Ullom, 87, the daughter of John and Eliza Felcher, was born April 17, 1863 at Nashua and passed away Friday morning, Aug. 11, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 24 days.
Margaret, better known as Ella to her friends, spent her girlhood days in Nashua and attended the public school.
She was married Feb. 23, 1880, at Charles City to Marvin M. Ullom of Nashua. To this union six children were born, three of whom survive: Mrs. Beryl Kegley of Sunnyside, Wash., Mrs. Ina Hoppner of Sacramento, Calif., and John, of Nashua. Also one grandson, Forrest Hall, of Sacramento, Calif., whom she raised from birth. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Olive Hall and Mrs. Ruth Callahan, and one son, Charles.
Mrs. Ullom was a lifelong member of the Brethren church. She spent her entire life in Nashua with the exception of three years which were spent in Washington and South Dakota.
Funeral services were at the Chenoweth and Son funeral home Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Dean Farringer, pastor of the Brethren church at Fredericksburg in charge. Flower ladies were Mrs. Bartlett Peterson and Mrs. Angie Miller. Casket bearers were Jacob Wightman, Don and Max Ullom and Elmer, Eddie and Curtis Bigelow. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
