MILITARY HISTORY OF CHICKASAW COUNTY, IOWA
WORLD WAR I EXCERPT
In the World War, the Chickasaw County quota for the national Army was 133. From the report of the Chickasaw conscription board, filed in November, 1917, there were 466 men called up for examination and 335 were accepted of whom 60 were ordered to report to Camp Dodge, at Des Moines.
