Lynes Family Reunion--The annual reunion of the Lynes family was held at the home of Elmer Reeves in Waverly Saturday and over seventy relatives assembled to enjoy once again the re-uniting of dear ones, when once a year this remarkably large family are all gathered together.  However, at this reunion there was one cloud to mar the happiness of the occasion, for two loved ones, Gladys Farnsworth, Plainfield, and Walter Bromley, Charles City, had been called to their Heavenly home since the last reunion.  Two large tables were laid beneath the shade trees and a sumptuous dinner opened the program for the day.  The photographer from Waverly was on hand to take the picture of the group.  Later a program consisting of music, recitations and speeches was given.  W. W. Blasier of Jesup, acted as president, and his efficiency in this capacity could not be excelled and his wit and humor lent much toward making the program a most enjoyable affair.  Following this came the election of officers.  Elmer Reeves, Waverly, being chosen president for the ensuing year, and Mrs. Pauline Roach, Plainfield, re-elected as secreary.  It was voted to hold the reunion at the A. D. Leaman home in Nashua in June 1920.  The program of the day closed by serving the company with ice cream and cake.

Thomas Family Reunion-The eleventh annual reunion of the Thomas family was held Friday, Aug. 22, 1919, at the W. G. Robinson home just south of Nashua.  After congregating at the old home farm, the company, well loaded with lunch baskets and cameras, journeyed to the woods just north of the Robinson home where everything was in readiness for the picnic.  This is the second time in the history of the reunions that the number of relatives present has been seventy eight, the other being August 22, 1911, but this year eleven visitors were present, making a total of eighty nine.  One unusual feature of this year's reunion was the presence of a new French cousin.  Sgt. Harry L. Holmes, of Wyoming, Minn., recently returned from France, was accompanied by his charming French bride.  During the forenoon games of horseshoe occupied the time of the men, which the women visited and prepared the picnic dinner.  About 12:30 all gathered around the long table, which was bountifully filled with good things to eat.  After dinner the time was spent in visiting, taking pictures and general good time until a ball game was proposed.  Sides were chosen by two of the young ladies and the game was started, resulting in a score of 7 to 2, in favor of the Rabbits.  At the close of the game quantities of ice cream disappeared in a remarkable short time, after which the business session was held and new officers were elected as follows:  President, Carlyle Thomas; Secretary, Hazel Robinson.  A few ideas for the next year's reunion were propsoed and then for the "old swimmin' hole," where some of the younger members enjoyed a session of water sports.  The day ended all too quickly.  Farewells were taken and the happy time remains only a memory "till we meet again" August 22, 1920. The members of the family present were: Mrs. Elanor  Eldridge, Clear Lake Iowa; Mrs. Anna Fuller and daughter Frances, Rockford, Ill.; L. F. Holmes, daughter Ethel and son Floyd, Sgt. and Mrs. H. L. Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Holmes and daughter, all of Wyoming, Minn.; Mrs. Frank E.
