6/28/1906 Family Reunion--A reunion of the Lynes relatives was held at the home of Amos Lynes, near Plainfield, Saturday, in which sixty one relatives participated in the festivities of the day. The morning bid fair to a perfect day. The morning bid fair to a perfect day, and by noon the guests had all assembled. It was a happy gathering of brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins and their families, who perhaps has never all been together before. The occasion was made all the happier by the presence of Andrew Lynes, of Ada, Minn., who had not had the pleasure of being with his relations for quite some time. A program was presented for the occasion, and consisted of recitations, instrumental and vocal solos, and music by the Lynes orchestra. It was a most enjoyable day for all present, and will long linger in their memories and bring back many pleasant recollections. Officers were elected and committees appointed, who duties are to make all arrangements for the second annual reunion to be held June 23, 1907. Those present from away were Andrew Lynes, of Ada, Minn., Messrs. and Mesdames Frank Lynes and Roy Bledgett, of Waverly, Ira Collins and family of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Peterson, of Prosper, Messrs. and Mesdames H. M. Peterson and A. J. Blasier, Miss Mamie and Roy Blasier and Miss Emma Hawkins of Nashua, and Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Thompson of Baltic, S. D. 7/12/1906 Family Reunion--The family of Zine Knight were all united on the Fourth for the first time in several years, and the occasion was one long to be remembered. The only ones among the childrens' families who were not present were Ed Billings, of St. Paul and Mrs. Clara Owen's (deceased) children, of Washington. The reunion was held at the home of Vern Knight where a bountiful dinner was served. Those from out of town who were present were Walter Knight and family, Ruby and Zine Knight, Jr., of Waterloo, Bert Knight and wife of Bellingham, Wash. 8/2/1906 A Family Reunion-There was a reunion of the Cagley families at the picnic grounds near Chickasaw Sunday, at which there was a large gathering of relatives. The occasion was in honor of Wm. Cagley, son Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Cagley, who had been visiting here and who will soon take his departure. Besides the relatives present, were Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Raymond, of this city. A picnic dinner was one of the best features of the day's program. A photographer was upon the scene and took a picture of the group. 8/30/1906 The families of H. M. Peterson and A. J. Blasier and Mrs. M. E. Waite drove to Plainfield Saturday to attend a gathering of their relatives, the occasion being in honor of Mrs. Mame Hamm, of Boston, Mass., who is making her first visit here in thirty years. The reunion was held on the lawn at Amos Lynes' place and there were 59 guests present. A sumptuous dinner was served under the trees at noon. 9/13/1906 Potter Family Reunion--The twentieth annual reunion of the Potter families was held last Saturday at the Alethia Potter home at Ionia. Sixty two families of Potters and relatives were present to join in the reunion, coming from South Dakota, Horton, Plainfield, Williamstown and Charles City.
