The Chickasaw General Store

Cora Rowley Hayden ran the Chickasaw General Store, starting around 1890. She was also post mistress for the area and served until the post office was discontinued. She continued to make her living from the store and expanded her business with the addition of gas pumps.

Searles Hayden, a grandson, made a replica of the store and donated it to the New Hampton Museum, where it is on display.
