Joseph Henry Meyers, 1871-1959, was born in North Washington, Iowa. He was the head football coach for Iowa State University (ISU) Cyclones in 1899, after playing halfback for the rival University of Iowa (UI) Hawkeyes around 1895. He died in San Diego.
