NICK NOSBISCH |
The enterprising little city of Alta Vista, Chickasaw County, profits by his labors, as he is a member of the firm of Hentges & Nosbisch, dealers in farm implements. He was born 09 September 1881, in Washington Township, his parents being Michael and Katherine (SPODEN) NOSBISCH. The father was born in Germany and the mother a native of Dubuque County Iowa. Nick NOSBISCH came to Iowa with his parents when quite young, the family home was maintained near Waterloo, in Black Hawk County, for a time. Mrs NOSBISCH passed away in North Washington, Iowa on 10 October 1903. In the public and parochial schools of Washington Township, Nick Nosbisch aquired his early education and afterward attended a year of college in New Hampton. His marriage was celebrated 19 November 1903; Miss Susie HENTGES becoming his wife. She is a daughter of Nick and Anna (MAIERS) HENTGES, residents of New Hampton. To Mr and Mrs NOSBISCH have been born six children: Bertha, Mabel, Alfred, Hazel, Marie, and Ralph, all yet at home. He has been a member of the town council for four years. The Hentges and Nosbisch firm now handles a general line of farm implements, buggies, wagons, cream separators, gas engines, tractors, threshing machines, and windmills.
