Resting
securely cradled in his mother's arms is Craig Lyle Martin who
recently, and very early in life, became the recipient of an unusual
honor. He was d e cidedly named the 10,000th baby to be
born at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee since its beginning
in 1917.
Little
Craig is the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Martin of Sutherland. He
made his historic entrance into this area at 10:17 p.m. on July 13,
with the able assistance of Dr. Dan Sullivan, Sutherland. Hospital
Superintendent Kenneth Hobson this week visited the home of the
unconcerned "honoree" to preent a refund check of mother's hospital
