Note: I may be able to provide some research assistance. I live thirty miles from Des Moines and have access to records at the Iowa State Historical Society (click on the library catalogue link to search) as well as the Iowa Genealogical Society (click on the card catalogue link to search). If you provide me with as much information as you can (names, dates, places, etc.), I'll do what I can to dig up further information. I usually go once a month so there may be a short delay. I kindly request reimbursement for copy charges.

If you find resources regarding Cherokee County and you do not want to or don't have the time to transcribe or you cannot upload to the internet, you can always send me a copy of the resource and I will transcribe and upload it, giving you credit for submitting it.
