CLEAR LAKE -- The former Lincoln School in Clear Lake is coming down. The 1926 building is being demolished by Charlson Excavating Co. to make way for condominiums and town homes. A Charles City development firm, The Green Group LLC, has purchased the 4.25-acre site. The company has plans to construct 19 housing units on the site. Lincoln’s newer one-story addition will be turned into six condos. The total investment is estimated at $4.5 million, according to developer Gary Veeder.
