Clear Lake
Clear Lake, named for the large lake on which it is located, was incorporated on May 26, 1871.
Clear Lake had a population of 8,161 ~ 2000 census.

Clear Lake City Park

City Park was laid out when the city was platted in 1856.
On May Day, 1873, the residents planted 1,500 trees in the park, every tree tagged
with the name of the 'owner' as a living monument.
The Seawall was built in 1936 as a part of
President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Public Works Program.
