Couple to Be at Home on Farm After Short Trip. Rockwell Sacred Heart church at Rockwell was the scene of a wedding [June 30, 1936] when Miss Arlene McDONOUGH, daughter of Mrs. Alice McDONOUGH and the late M. A. McDONOUGH, became the bride of James BARRAGY, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. BARRAGY, all of Rockwell. The Rev. Robert ORMSBY celebrated the nuptial mass and performed the ceremony. Bill BARRAGY, cousin of the bridegroom, and Jay MEANY served as acolytes. During the service, Miss Agatha DOWNING and Joseph McLAUGHLIN sang nuptial music, accompanied by Miss Catherine TRESTON, organist, who also played the wedding marches. The bride was attired in a white crepe gown trimmbed with white satin, and a white hat. Her accessories were white and she wore a corsage of yellow roses and baby breath. Miss Frances McDONOUGH, who attended her sister as bridesmaid, was gowned in a yellow crepe dress with white accessories. She wore a corsage of orchid, sweet peas and baby breath. John BARRAGY, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's mother to members of the bridal party and relatives and friends of the couple. The guests included Father ORMSBY, Mr. and Mrs. Francis LEWIS, Mrs. Mary McLAUGHLIN, Joseph and Leo McLAUGHLIN, Miss TRESTON and Hazel GAFFNEY, all of Rockwell; Mr. and Mrs. V. L. RIGGINS, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. BOYLE, all of Dougherty; and Miss Kathleen RIGGINS, of Mason City. The bride attended Sacred Heart academy at Rockwell and was graduated from St. Peter's school at Dougherty, and the Mercy hospital training school for nurses at Mason City. She was engaged for a time in private duty and has served 15 months as assistant operating room supervisor at Mercy hospital. Mr. BARRAGY attended Sacred Heart academy and is now farming.
