When investigators were checking out a report of a fight outside of the Delaware Tap at 11 S. Delaware Avenue, at 2:45 a.m. on August 2, 1975, they found the body of Charles Pat "Leroy" HINES, aged 45 years. His body was lying on the sidewalk outside of the Tap. HINES had been reported as being involved in the fight. Authorities believe that he died after an assault.

Charles Pat "Leroy" HINES' murder remains unsolved to this day.
