Miss Dorothy GIESKING, 212 2nd S.E., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest GIESKING of Woden, became the bride of Edmund
RIGGINS, 211 5th N.E., son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern RIGGINS of Dougherty, Saturday
at the Holy Family Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. BREEN officiated the ceremony and the nuptial Mass. Mrs. Merlin
HOGAN of Webster City, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Mr. HOGAN was bestman. Ushers were Ronnie RIGGINS
of Dougherty and James GIESKING of Woden, brother of the bride. Pamela TALTY of Brookfield, Ill., niece of the bride,
was the flowergirl. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a princess line ballerina gown of imported
Duploni silk. Re-embroidered Alencon lace edged the neckline and the full skirt was appliqued with sprays of
Alencon. Her silk illusion veil was held by a queen's crown of sequins and pearls. She carried a white prayerbook with
an orchid. The matron of honor wore a smoke blue ballerina gown of Peau de sole with a scoop neckline and a large
bow in back. She had a matching net crown dotted with rhinestones and she carried pink and white carnations.
The bride's mother wore a light blue dress with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother . . .missing. . .
matching accessories. They had corsages of pink and white carnations. Miss Sheila DOUGHERTY, organist, played nuptial
music and Miss Patricia WOODHOUSE was vocalist. A reception and dinner followed the ceremony in the Aire-O-Room. Miss
Joan RITTINGHAUS was in charge of the guestbook and Mrs. Frank SCHILLER and Mrs. B. J. TALTY, the gifts. After a
wedding trip south, the couple will live at 212 2nd S.E. The bride is employed at Elaine's Beauty Salon and the
bridegroom by the Mason City Coca Cola Compnay. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. H. COMADI of Chandler, Minn.;
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard McEVOY and Kay and Miss Mary Rose HOGAN, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Keith KELLY, Cresco; Miss
Evelyn GOARDER, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Harold LUDEKIN, Decorah; Irma STEINMETZ of New England, N.D; Mr. and Mrs.
B. J. TALTY of Brookfield, Ill.; Dr. and Mrs. Frank SCHILLER of Los Angeles, and relatives and friends from
Dougherty, Titonka and Mason City.
