Francis A. PATTERSON, 72, well-known horseman and caretaker at Belle View Stables the last 3 1/2 years, is reported as showing some improvement at Mercy Hospital. He is still unconscious from a skull fracture received last Thursday. Patterson was reported to have fallen from a hayloft while throwing baled hay through an outside door.
