Dr. H. G. Marinos, of Mason City, has received preliminary orders, calling him to active duty with the army, he
said Wednesday. Dr. Marinos received a commission as a first lieutenant in the medical corps reserve upon graduation from
the University of Iowa three years ago. This will be his first tour of active duty. Dr. Marinos' orders notified that further
specific orders would be sent him Feb. 25 instructing him to report for duty at Fort Riley, Kans., probably late this
month. Dr. Marinos is the third Mason City physician to be called by the army in recent months. Dr. G. E. Harrison and Dr.
Irving Sternhill, major and captain in the medical serve respectively, were called in December.
