Swaledale's annual Big Days celebration begins Saturday morning with a parade, with events and activities throughout the day and into the night.

Theme of the celebration is "Proud to be an American."

The schedule:

Saturday

Parade, 11 a.m.

Welcome, Mayor Sue Lyles

Grand marshal, Lola Fredin

Vocalist, Cindi Snow

Pork lunch at Noon

Entertainment in City Park

(In case of rain, the pork lunch will be in the Town Hall; entertainment will be in the old school gym. Bring lawn chairs)

Denny's School of Dance, 12:30 p.m.

Games, activities and craft tables

Bob Becker, music

Pig and Ice Cream at City Park, 1 p.m.

Dan the One Man Band,1:30 p.m.

Gospel singers, The Spokesmen, 2:30 p.m.

Bingo at Town Hall, 3 to 5 p.m.

Tug-Of-War, 5 p.m.

Softball tournaments all weekend along with food concessions.

Mud drags, noon, with concession.

Beer garden and live band, Infinity, 8 p.m. to midnight.

Cow drop, 9 to 11 p.m.

Pie auction, 10 p.m.

Motorcycle Poker Run during the day

Clowns performing, snow cones, games, food available all day.

Sunday

Church service, 9 a.m., City Park.
