The brick and stucco Tessa Youngblood House was designed by John Taylor and built in 1922.
Tessa Youngblood was born January 24, 1873 in Illinois, and died July 29, 1926. She was
the wife of Julius Benjamin Youngblood. Julius was born March 27, 1872 and died May 9, 1951. They were interred at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery,
Mason City.
The Tessa Youngblood House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places
January 29, 1980.
