Photoshop Basics for GenWeb Sites:

Photo enhancement and optimization for the web

This workshop is intended to show you how to use some of the tools available in Photoshop to improve old photographic images for your state and county project web sites.

Topics will include importing, resizing, repairing old photos, leveling, adjusting color saturation and saving optimized images. While the focus will be on monotone photos, we may have time to look at color correction of color photos. And if yet more time allows, we can try out a few visual effects, including the application of text over images, drop shadowing and other simple effects.
