The 88 anniversary of the Organization of the Old Settlers Association of Cedar Co Iowa was held June 10th 1924 at the Court House. Called to order by President Peter McKee at11 oclock A M. Being the 53 meeting of the association Carl Mather, W T Gilmore, A A Aikens were appointed Committee to recommended officers and Executive Committee for the Cedar Co Old Settlers for the coming year the following persons were elected:

Called to order at 2 oclock P M.

Song by quartet Arthur Reeder, R H Hinck, Mrs Hoffman, Mrs McBurney. Prayer by Rev M Grether. Song by quartet. Reading of minutes of last meeting. Report of Treasurer showed a balance on hand of $13.37. Report of committee and election of officers. Reading of Obituaries by Secretary. Then came a grand talk from Rev C M Wallace. Collection was taken amounting to %10.00. The committee recommended that from this all person coming to Cedar Co Iowa on or before June 10th 1875 be members of Cedar Co Old Settlers association. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.

1. William L Lyle was born at Yellow Spring Ohio March 7th 1843. Came to Cedar Co Iow in 1847. Married Miss Martha Dixon who died. After her death he married Miss Lavina Port who died short after their marriage. He was married to Dora Finefield on Feb 25th 1895 aged 81 years 8 months 19 days. Died at his home in Tipton June 15/24.

2. Daniel D McGillivary was born near Tipton Cedar Co Iowa in 1869. In the year 1898 married Miss Maud McLanghlin. Died at his home in Louden Iowa June 23rd 1924.

3. Miss Dora Ford was born near Tipton Cedar Co Iowa Sept 28th 1865. Died at her home in Tipton July 8th 1924 aged 58 years 9 months 10 days.

4. Mrs Melissa (Jennings) Adams was born in Idiana March 12, 1851. Came to Cedar Co Iowa in 1853. Married George Adams Jan 23rd 1873. Died at her home near Wilton Junction July 25th 1924 aged _

6. Mrs. John (Arlington) McClellan was born June 14th 1835 in Huron co Ohio. Came to Cedar Co Iowa in 1851. Was married to John McClellan June 17, 1868. Died at her home in Mechanicsville Iowa July 26, 1924, aged 89 years 1 montn and 12 days.

7. Elias Gabriel was in Athens Co Ohio Dec 15th 1839. Came to Cedar Co Iowa in 1865. Married Miss Margaret Robinett in 1869. Died July 26, 1924 aged 84 years 7 months 11 days
