June 10th 1922 was the 86th Anniversary of Organization of the Old Settlers Association of Cedar Co Iowa and the 51st meeting. The meeting was called to order in the court house at 11 oclock A M by the President John Wingert. J W Reeder and John T Moffit were appointed committee to recommend officers and Exutive Committee for the ensuring year. Adjourned to meet at 2 oclock PM at which time the Rev Cramme was commenced by song by Quartette Asthus Reeder, Chas Eellwood, Mrs McBurney and Mrs Brotherlin. Prayer was offered by Rev E K Hudson. Reading of minutes of past year by the Secretary. Treasurer report showed $8.70 on hand. The Quartette gave another song. The committee recommended the following names for officers and Executive Committee for next year. For President D R Smith, Vice Pres Charles Swatzlander, Secretary F L Sheldon, Treasurer J W Reeder. Executive Committed H W Franco, M H Miller, George E Beatty, T A Spear, Wm Mather. The new President was installed, song by the Quartette. This Secretary read the obituaries of the 64 Old Settlers who had died since the last meeting. A collection was taken amounting to $14.82. This was followed by a talk from Rev R Parsons. The call for voluntary speeches was responded to by Rev C K Handson. John T Moffit called the Roll of Old Settlers Present from 1841 to 1856. Meeting adjourned.
