The 83rd Anniversary and 48th meeting of the Old Settlers Association of Cedar Co. Iowa was called to Order by Vice President W G. Van Meter at 11 oclock AM at the Court House C. F. Simmermaker, G. E. Beatty and J. W. Reeder were appointed to select officers for the ensuing year adjournment was then taken until 2 P.M.

On Reassembling there was a song by Mrs. W. M. Furnish, Mrs H. L Brotherlin, C. H. Foye and K. H. Hanck. Prayers by Rev H. A. Wolfe. Minutes of the last meeting were read and Treasurer presented his report. Committee for selection of Officers recommended the flowing who on motion were elicted F. H. Milliean, President, B. F. Bossert, Peter McNee, Bert Buchanan Vice President F. L. Sheldon Secretary J. W. Reeder Treas. M. H. Miller, John T. Moffit, Charles Swatzlander, T. H. Spear, Geo. E. Beatty Executive Committee. The address of Rev. W. E. Vanhusen was among the very best of the many excellent addresses which have been made in other years before this association. At the conclusion of this address the President called for voluntary Remarks. O. S. Johnson, Mrs. Wm. Mather, Rev. Wolfe, Josiah Dorcas, J. W. Reeder, Ellen McClure, Mrs. Schriver, T. A. Shear and others responded. Meeting adjourned.

1. Henry W. Hamiel. Born in Cedar Co. Iowa March 21st 1875. Married Miss Louella Eves March 21st 1896. Died at his home in Tipton June 16th, 1919 aged 44 years 3 months 25 days.

2. Mrs. Margaret (Ridenour) Fulwider was born March 22, 1832 Greenbriar Co., Ohio. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa 1844. Married Anthony Fulwider Dec. 19th, 1849. Died at his home near Lime City June 28th, 1919 aged 87 years 3 months 7 days.

3. Johnathan Ray Ochiltree was born in Green Briar Co. West Virginia Sept 1844. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1856. Married Miss Augusta Bunker April 30th, 1872. Died at his home in Tipton July 12th 1919 aged 74 years 10 months 5 days.

4. Mrs. Caroline (Ayers) Dice was born in Venange Co. Penn. July 24th 1840. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1853. Married John Dice in 1859. Died at her home Wilton Junction July 19th, 1919 aged 78 years 11 months 17 days.

5. Mrs. Phebe (Owen) Latta was born in Columbia Co. Ohio August 20th, 1843. Came to Iowa in 1855. Married Joseph F. Latta Sept. 19th, 1867. Died at her home in Center Twp. Cedar Co. July 16th 1919 aged 75 years 11 months 26 days.

6. John Moreland was born in Somerset Co. Penn. Dec. 25th, 1849. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1853. Married Miss Rose B. Slenker Sept 17th, 1877. Died at his home at Olin, Iowa aged_

8. Henry Kahl was born in Germany July 15th 1841. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1864. Married Miss Sophia Katherine Lanmeyer in March 1868. Died at University Hospital Iowa City Aug. 25th 1919.

9. Mrs. Ellen (Cosgriff) Cessford was born in Tipton, Iowa Aug 17th, 1855. Married James S. Cessford March 1st, 1883. Died at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids Sept. 3rd, 1919 aged 64 years 14 days.
