Our 82nd anniversary and 47th meeting of the Old Settlers association of Cedar Co. Iowa was called to order at 11 a.m. in the Court House by President F. H. Spear. The appointment of the following nominating committee followed F. H. Miligan, John F. Moffit and O. S. Johnson. Then the meeting adjourned until 2 o’clock p.m., then there was a song by the Quartette composed of A. E. Remmble, Douglas Patterson, Miss Marie France and Mary Miligan. Then a prayer by Rev. Will Kinon. Reading of minutes of last meeting. Omitted report of Treasurer showed nothing on hand. The report of the nominating committee led in the following election of officers and executive committee for the ensuing year:

Obituaries of the Old Settlers of Cedar Co. Iowa from June 10th, 1918 to June 10, 1919

1. Rodney Russell Parsons was born in Scioto Co., Ohio July 21st, 1842, came to Cedar C. in 1847. Married Miss Nancy Jane Comstock Oct. 23, 1866. Mrs. Parsons died in 1905. On Jan. 15th, 1914 Mr. Parsons married Mrs. Angeline Stern. Died at his home at Ames, Iowa June 21st 1918. Aged 74 years and 11 months.

2. Mrs. Elizabeth Ingram was born Jan. 10th, 1826, came to Cedar Co., Iowa, in 18o68. Married James Ingram Sept. 1st, 1856. Died June 12, 1918 at the home of her son, Samuel Ingram, Sauk Centre News. Aged_

3. John A. Blackmar was born in Rochester Cedar Co., Iowa, in 1867. Died July 10th, 1918 at Muskegon, Michigan

4. Andrew Mann was born in Scotland in 1835, came to Cedar Co. Iowa, Died at his home in Mechanicsville, July 1918, Aged 83 years.

14. Mrs. Phebe (Rittsenbarger) Wisener was born in Ohio Feb. 1st, 1840. Married Amos Wisener in 1856. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1868. Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Wright at West Branch Sept. 27th, 1918. Aged_

15. Mrs. Jannette (Hawkins) Belgard was born in Cedar Co., Iowa, Aug. 15th, 1846. Married Teter Belgard Sept. 27, 1866. Died at the home of her daughter Mrs. C. N. Wallick in Tipton Oct. 9th, 1918. Aged 72 years, 1 month, 24 days.

16. Harlan M. Tuttle was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, April 15th, 1836. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1865. Married Miss Anna Hensinger June, 1873. Died at his home in Tipton Oct. 18th, 1918. Aged 82 years, 6 months and 13 days.

17. Alexander Buchanan was born in Cass Tp. Cedar Co. Iowa, July 30th, 1841. Married Miss Sarah C. Downing Feb. 22nd, 1872. Died at his home in Cass Tp. Dec. 21st, 1918.

18. Mrs. Theresa (Elliott) Murray was born at West Morland Co., Penn. April 15th, 1846. Came to Cedar Co., Iowa, in 1854. Married S. M. Murray Oct. 25th, 1871. Died at her home in Tipton, Dec. 19th, 1918.

19. Mrs. Elizabeth (Whistler) Moore was born in Stark Co., Ohio, Oct. 28, 1841. Came to Cedar Co., Iowa in 1848. Married Jessie Moore Nov. 4th, 1858. Died at her home Dec. 21st, 1918. Aged_

21. Henry W. Fields who was President of this association at the time of his death was born in Lincolnshire, England Feb. 2nd, 1832. Came to Cedar Co., Iowa, in 1855. Married Miss Rosetta Archer in 1860 who passed away May 11th, 1864. Mr. Fields was later married to Miss Fannie Dicklot who died in 1881. On June 3rd, 1885 he was married to Mrs. Sarah E. Kiser. Died at his home in Tipton, Jan. 6th, 1919. Aged

22. Mrs. Mary (Stanton) Downing was born in Montgomery Co., N.Y. July 2nd, 1843 Came to Cedar Co., Iowa, in 1856. Married A. S. Downing May 10th, 1867. Died at Los Angeles, California Jan. 12th, 1919. Aged 75 years.

28. Frederick T. Carl was born on April 18th, 1837.came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1838. Married wife Emiline Soper in 1844 who died in 1880. In 1887 he married wife Eva C. Farnum who died in 1890. On May 3rd, 1898 he married wife Lily A. Brown. Died at his home at Lone Tree, Johnson Co., Iowa, Jan. 31st, 1919 aged

34. Mrs. Calista (Collver) Long was born at Leone Point, Upper Canada May 3rd, 1832, came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1852, Married John Long in 1854. Died at her home in Tipton March 20th, 1919, aged 86 years, 9 months 17 days.

35. Wm. J. Clapp was born at Thadford, Vt. Feb. 16th, 1833. Married wife Anna Eliza Wilson March 25th, 1859. Came to Cedar Co. Iowa in 1856, died at St. Paul , Minn. March 31st, 1919, aged 86 years, 1 month and 15 days.
