World War II Honor Roll

The names of each of the veterans of World War II from the surrounding area were painted on a strip of wood having notched ends and then fastened to this outside display board. This Honor Roll was originally constructed in the City Park next to the City Hall and later moved to the entrance of Lowden Memorial Park, in northwest Lowden.
Please note on the next page a reproduction of the courtesy “Honor Roll” carried weekly in The Lowden News by the late S. E. Sennett during World War II. New names were added when the individual left for the Service. This repro was taken from the October 4, 1945 issue of The Lowden News.
