United Methodist Women

    The women’s group of the Methodist church was formed with the following purposes: It shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; develop supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. You become a member of the UMW by pledging.

    UMW officers are president, Virginia Robinson; vice-president, Anita Decker; co-vice, Alta Cashman; secretary, Eleanor Stonerook and treasurer, Mildred Joslin

    The following groups and projects derive from UMW: Singles, Sewing Group, Seekers, Bible Studies, Mission Studies, Monthly Bible Studies at the Nursing Home, bingo four times a year at the Nursing Home, once a month coffee and once a month potluck dinners after church, contribute and sponsor summer youth camp for youth fellowship. The church also has a men’s group that sponsors projects and activities: annual cookout for entire church, children’s Christmas party, Sweetheart dinner and weekly prayer breakfasts.
