Clarence Lions Club

    The Clarence Lions club was organized in April of 1975. Charter night was June 7, 1975 at the Clarence school gym. Two hundred and ten members and guests attended. There were 39 charter members.

    Officers elected were president, Ralph McIntosh, 1st vice-president, Ron Remington; 2nd vice-president, Dennis Hunwardsen; 3rd vice-president, Ronnie Kress; 2-yr. board members, John Hasenbank and Steve Maurer, treasurer, Lloyd Hasselbusch and secretary, Cecil Bowman.

    President for each year is as follows:

1975-1976 – Ralph McIntosh 
1976-77 – Ron Remington 
1977-78 – Ronnie Kress 
1978-79 – Kenneth Dircks 
1979-80 – George Ibsen 
1980-81 – Don Johnson 
1981-82 – Paul Chapman, Jr. 
1982-83 – Roger Willey 
1983-84 – Richard Kleppe 
1984-85 – Warren Koth 

    Lloyd Hasselbusch has been treasurer from 1975-1985 and Cecil Bowman has been secretary from 1975-1985.

    Membership on December 31, 1984 was 48 members

    The club was incorporated on March 3, 1982 - Lions Club of Clarence, Iowa, Inc.
