Sprouse, Charles L., 15th Illinois Infantry Co. F, buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Lewis, Cass Co., Iowa. Born April 18, 1840, died February 19, 1916 at age 75. Enlisted July 1, 1861. Also re-enlisted in 60th Illinois Infantry Co. C, on 30 December 1863. Private. Discharged July 31, 1865. GAR Post 201. Oakwood Cemetery lot 3 west, blk. 4.
