CHRISTIAN HANNEMAN was of German parentage and had livedin Scott County, Iowa, before moving to the new town of Marne. He was one of the five original investors in the Marne Town Company and had purchased lots in town as early as 1875. Mr. Hanneman built one of the first houses in town and dealt in real estate.
