Was born and raised on a farm in Cass county, his parents being among the early settlers of this community.

Mr. Pellett has always been successful in his undertakings, having farmed up until five years ago, when he left the farm to engage in the banking and real estate business. His knowledge of farming and farm lands has gained him the reputation of being one of the best real estate dealers in southwestern Iowa. Mr. Pellett deals quite extensively in the Dakotas and Minnesota, but still thinks there is no safer or better investment than Iowa land. Being one of the members of the Commercial Club and having a wide agricultural acquaintance has brought him in close touch with the most representative people of the community. The picture of Mr. Pellett's residence and two children appear elsewhere in this edition.
