1884 Biographies

JOHN WESTFALL


John Westfall came in 1869, and took up land in sections 29 and 30. He was born in Pike county, Pennsylvania, May 19, 1813. In 1826 he went to Allegheny county, New York. In 1833 he went to Olean Point. He stayed there some time, and then came west, spending considerable time in Des Moines county, Iowa, before coming to this county. He was married, in 1833, to Hannah Bodine. They have three children living -- David H., Charles H. and James O. Mrs. Westfall died in 1864.
