MATHEW SHEPPERD


Mathew Shepperd is a native of Ontario, Canada, born May 10, 1845. He is a son of James and Elizabeth (Atkinson) Shepperd, who now reside in Audubon county. Mathew Shepperd was married in 1873, to Elizabeth Keyes, also a native of Ontario, Canada. In 1875 he settled in Audubon county, three miles west of Oakfield. Here he owned a large farm, and resided until April, 1883. He then came to Cass county and purchased sixty-two acres on section 36, Brighton township, where he is now living. He is engaged in farming, also in veterinary surgery. Mr. Shepperd is a member of the M. E. church.
