 Original Waldron Homestead, photo taken 11-4-1917 - Married 11-4-1857 - John and Cecelia Waldron Mike Waldron's grandparents are in the above photo.He was born in this log cabin located just over the Carroll County line into Greene Co. near the Raccoon River camp. He was a jeweler in Glidden, operated the first telegraph office in Glidden in back of the store. He became blind but was still able to operate the telegraph office. In the window is Ferson Briggs (??) he married their daughter. |
