ARCADIA. Population, 390. An incorporated town on the C. & N. W. Ry., in Arcadia township, Carroll county, 110 miles n. w. of Des Moines and 10 n. w. of Carroll, the seat of justice. Settled in 1871, it has Catholic, Lutheran and Presbyterian churches, a public school and a bank. Grain and live stock constitute the shipments. Tel., W. U. Exp., Am. Telephone connection. F. T.
