THE SACRIDER-O’NEALL WEDDING

At two minutes to 8 o’clock on Wednesday evening the Townsend orchestra, located in the gallery at the rear of the auditorium in the Presbyterian church, struck the notes of the wedding march and in a few moments, from the door opening to the west aisle, the bridal company appeared, led by Miss Laura Hobbs, acting as maid of honor, arrayed in pure white and bearing a basket of flowers, next came the attendants Mr. E. H. Marsh, of Sac City, as groomsman and Miss Blue, of Belle Plaine, as bridesmaid, then followed the groom, Mr. Mortie G. Sacrider and the bride, Miss Leoretta O’Neall. They gracefully moved down to the altar and while the orchestra continued in subdued tones the ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. W. Stophlet, which made them husband and wife. The same music was resumed and the wedded pair and cortege in the same order marched out of the church by way of the east aisle. The music in the gallery sounded distinct and enchanting. The beautiful decorations about the altar, the handsome and richly arranged company, the soft and distant notes form the orchestra and the happy occasion produced a most pleasing effect. The bridal trosseau was very rich, the dress being of cream surah white silk with delicate crescent lace covering décolleté on train, whit white gloves and slippers, and the bridal veil was adorned with white and pink tea roses. The groom wore gloves and the conventional black. The bridesmaid was handsomely attired in cream cashmere and roses and bore in the hand the brides fan point lace ‘kerchief.

A large company of invited guests were present to witness the ceremony. A reception was given at the beautiful Sacrider home at 8:30. the parlors were filled with pleasant guests who gave hearty good wishes and congratulations to the wedded couple. The supper was then served which proved delightful consisting of a wide circle of cakes and delicacies wth ice cream and strawberries. The company lingered until a late hour. It will be re-.....
