Mary E. Gregg Lake City Graphic Obituary Mary E. Gregg, wife of James H. Gregg, of Rockwell City, was born in Cass county, Michigan, Sept. 22, 1838 and died in Rockwell, Nov. 10, 1889. They have been residents of Calhoun county since 1880, were both received into the Baptist church at the age of thirteen. Mrs. Gregg was sick ten weeks with a quick consumption and passed away, leaving a large family to mourn the loss of wife and mother. The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church at Rockwell, Nov. 13. Her only sister, Mrs. Smith, was present from Michigan and a very large crowd gathered at the church and followed her remains to the cemetery. |
