Henry Joseph Green

Henry J. Green, the son of Peter and Mary Guth Green, was born March 19, 1894 at Pittsburg, PA., and departed his life December 4, 1975, at the Sisson Care Center at Humboldt, Iowa where he had been a patient for the past three months. He attained the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 15 days.

Henry came to Iowa with his parents in 1902. He worked as a farm worker and also for Goodwill Industries. Henry had lived in Farnhamville for the past ten years when for health reasons he moved to Sunny Knoll Care Center at Rockwell City, where he lived for one year before residing in Humboldt.

Left to ,ourn his passing were four brothers; William, Elmer, Edd and Fred; four sisters, (Mary) Mrs. Fred Frotscher, (Hilda) Mrs. Joseph Pohl, Mrs. Bertha Millis, and (Helen) Mrs. Rosco Millis. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 7, 1975 at 1:30 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home in Farnhamville with Rev. Harold Jones officiating.

Interment was made in the Reading Cemetery. Musical selections were rendered by Mrs. Rudy Kail.

Serving as casket bearers were George Frotscher, Edmon Lee, Alex Larson, Clarence Schroeder, Bob Pierie, and Carl Schneider.
