Earl Heath Lake City Graphic Funeral Services for Earl Heath, 89, of Lake City will be held this morning, Thursday, July 7, at the Baptist Church in Lake City. The Rev. Dave Plooster will officiate, with burial in Lake City Cemetery. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military rites. Friends may call at Huffman Memorial Chapel. Earl Danforth Heath, son of Bian* and Ada Crisman Heath, was born April 22, 1899, in Jasper Township. He served in motor transport during World War I and owned and operated Heath Produce for a number of years. He married Gladys Hatfield in 1923 at Lake City. Mr. Heath was a member of the I.O.O.F. He was a resident of Shady Oaks at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife Gladys, of Lake City; a daughter, Thelma (Mrs. James McMeekin) of Lake City; a granddaughter, Cheryl (Mrs. Merle Wuebker) of Jolley; a sister, Elizabeth (Mrs. Glenn Bailey) of Rockwell City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and four brothers, Lee, Guy, Merton and Clarenc. *this is the spelling in the newspaper clipping that I have.
