Child of John Coe Lake City Graphic A terrible accident befell a little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Coe Monday about 4 o’clock. The mother had gone to a neighboring house for a few minutes and left the children-a little boy and girl, alone and it appears that the little girl got up on a chair and got some matches out of the safe and in some manner set her clothing of fire. The little boy ran to inform the mother of the terrible disaster and when she arrived the child was dying. The flesh was burned to a crisp and was a sad and sorrowful sight for the mother who was almost frantic with grief. - Boone Advocate |
