Clara Jackson Lake City Graphic Clara Jackson was born in West Canada, July 13, 1837. She was married in Canada, in 1866 to John Holms, after his death she was married to Gifford Overacker of Ill. In 1871. They came to Iowa and settled on a farm near Lake City, in 1875. As she was constantly failing in health, they moved to town where she remained an invalid until her death, on the morning of Sept. 2, 1893. She leaves her husband, an adopted son, besides brothers and sisters and friends. She had been a member of the M. E. Church since July 1879, and expressed her assurance that she was ready for heaven.
