At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Ames, Oct. 11, 1894, at 8 p.m., by Rev. J. W. Royse, Mr. Granville Smith and Miss Mary J. Gabriel, both of Lake City, Iowa.

The happy couple stepped to the music of the wedding march played by Miss Lillie Royse. The groom was arrayed in the blackest of black. The bride was robed in shimmering pearl gray silk.

After the tying of the knot all sat down to a supper that did not speak of hard times.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith will spend a week or two with the bride's sister, Mrs. Ames, after which they will return to Iowa, where they willreside.

May their joys be many and all their troubles little ones.
