Truesdale

The station, also located on the M. & St. L. line of railway, is situated in Washington township, six miles north of Storm Lake. The town is not incorporated. A Methodist church was erected there in the early days of the town and is yet flourishing with George A. Moir as pastor. There is no school in the town. Among the business houses are the Rankin-Berry Mercantile Company, general merchandise; Warren & Bucknole, general merchandise; George Tutt, hardware; Henry Steinhilber, machinery; T. F. Pettit, hotel and restaurant; two elevators and one lumber yard; M. T. Fletcher buys live stock. A Woodman lodge is located at Truesdale. Although the town is not incorporated a voting precinct has been established there.
