instructor for several states; conducted a non-commissioned officers'
school at Council Bluffs, Iowa; served at Camp Dodge, when the camp was
first started; to Fort Sam Houston; to Fort Bliss; to Fortress Monroe;
to Fort Pickens. Three months after war was declared resigned captaincy
commission in hopes of getting overseas, and re-enlisted in Coast
Artillery. (Still in service.)
