Little is known of this
small private cemetery or of the people buried here. The abstract of
Mary Derby states: 36 to the public dedication of Cemetery Con. Value.
(Received dated 13 Oct 1877. Book 61 page 237.) Dedicates a tract of
land described as commencing 61 1/2 rods East and 11 1/2 rods
North of the SW corner of the SE 1/4 Section 27, Township 9 Range 8 West
of the 5" PM Buchanan County , Iowa. Running thence North 9 rods, thence
West 9 rods to the place beginning together at right of ways across said

Children No Dates Info given to Rose Brewer by Howard Kind. Other information states there is 1 Negro servant ( a Butler) from Chicago, 1 child, and 1 mother buried here. When this cemetery was walked, 2 parts of a headstone, one broken square base, and one broken marble lamb were found near an old oak tree. There was on stone information.
