Hello, I am looking for information on out great-great-grandparents,
Bernard and (K) Catherine Hanson. They were both born about 1801 in
Germany and came to Iowa in 1852, settling in Cox Creek area, Iowa. They
had 3 children: Susanna Hanson Olinger, Peter Hanson and Barney Hanson.
I have been told that they, Bernard and Catherine, were buried at St.
John's Catholic Cemetery, Independence, Iowa (pat 4, block 3, plot 4).
Bernard died March 3, 1884, and Catherine Feb 15, 1875. Is there any
chance that you are related to them? If not, do you know of someone who
could help me find out more about them. I am planning on getting their
death certificates in hopes of obtaining their parents' names. I hope
that we have a link or you can give me some other options on what I can

son of Elijah MILLER and Betsey HORTON. He had 2 brothers that we know

1854 who married Lavina. Obadiah Chase Miller served in the Civil War
and married LuCelia Estella FOLLETT. They moved to New Milford
(Rockford), Winnebago, Illinois to Waterloo, Iowa, and then back to New
Milford, IL and back to Waterloo. For a while they lived in Buchanan
County, Iowa because they were there when LuCelia's father applied for
his Civil War Pension. In 1897 they moved to Belmont, Dawes, NE where
