Bremer County Genealogical Society
Membership
Cost is $10.00/year for individuals or families. Membership is from January 1 through December 31. Dues are to be received by March 1 of each year or your membership will be cancelled. If you become a member during the year you will receive back issues of the newsletters. Membership renewal forms will be available in the 3rd and 4th quarter newsletters. Back issues of newsletters will not be sent to late renewals.
Meetings
The society holds meetings monthly, except in January, June and July and August. The meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The regular meeting place is the Waverly Civic Center. Meetings are occasionally held in the homes of members or at other meeting places.
Newsletter
The Bremer County Browsings, the newsletter of the Bremer County Genealogical Society, is published quarterly. It is only mailed to those who are members of the society.
Queries and surnames being researched or generation charts, family group sheets, letters, Bible records or other similar material may be sent to the editor. Material from members will be used first, material from non-members will be used as space allows. Material from non-members should relate to Bremer County or surrounding counties.

Research
Our volunteers are willing to do Bremer County research for you. Fees are $5/hour. Additional expenses will include the cost of copies and any excess postage. Please send a minimum fee of one hour (for basic research) with the request so that the volunteer will have an idea of how much research time is needed. Mail all correspondence to BCGS c/o Elvira Hebell, 426 Washington St, Denver, Iowa 50622 (Corresponding Secretary). Don't forget to include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
