Marriages with Bremer County Ties 1856 - 1930

These lists have been extracted from material supplied by residents applying for Century Family and Early Settler Certificates, which were awarded during the 150th Anniversary Celebration of Bremer County. It is not a complete list of Bremer County marriages. All the names have some tie to Bremer County, regardless of where the wedding took place. Some records are missing the date or the name of the church where the ceremony was performed. Some include the names of the parents or siblings of the wedding couple. The list contains about 1284 names.

This book lists all people buried in Bremer County Cemeteries before 1983. It is an identical reprint of the original book with a laminated cover and comb binding. 348 pages.

Jackson Township Cemeteries

Burial records through July 7, 1997 for Oakland, Sewell, and West Point (aka Waverly Junction) Cemeteries.

This book has been available to correct the errors in the 1983 Bremer County Cemetery Book for the Oakland cemetery section. It is the result of two Genealogical Society members walking the cemeteries in June and early July 1997. The names and dates have been recorded as they were found on the cemetery markers.
