February 20, 1888 --- February 14, 1965

Eric Clark, 77, died suddenly at his home in Clear Lake, Sunday, Feb 14. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb 17, at the Bohn Funeral Home. The Rev. John DeLong, pastor of Clear Lake Methodist church, officiated. He was assisted by I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 187, Clear Lake. Burial was made in Concord Cemetery, Garner. Eric Clark, son of George and Louise Clark, was born at Goodell, Feb. 20, 1888. He was married to Anna Lemke on Oct. 6, 1912, at Garner. They made their home in Goodell until moving to Garner in 1919. Here he worked as a meat cutter and butcher for some time, then worked in the W. J. Barz General Store for several years and later served as town marshal. He later moved to Clear Lake, where he was employed at the Surf Ballroom until retiring in 1963. He is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, Richard, of Garner; and two grandchildren, Roger Clark, in the United States Navy and stationed in Guam, and Patricia, at home. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Bertha Hall and Mamie Brogan and two brothers, Roy and his twin brother, Earl.
