Matilda “Tillie” Seebeck, 95, of Blaine, Minnesota, formerly of Britt passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015, at her home in Blaine. Funeral services for Tillie Seebeck will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 10:30 AM at the Britt Christian Reformed Church, 569 Main Avenue North, in Britt with Pastor Joel DeBoer officiating. Burial will be at Amsterdam Township Cemetery in Kanawha. Visitation for Tillie Seebeck will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Matilda “Tillie” Christene Lena Bashans was born November 27, 1919, the daughter of John and Katherine of Trail City, South Dakota. At age 16, she married the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Seebeck on February 24, 1936. They farmed together in Britt, Iowa for over 60 years where they raised three daughters. Tillie enjoyed spending time with her family and always remembered everyone’s birthday. She loved to travel, she and Hank spent many summers travelling west; during her later years she continued to travel with her daughters, going to Mexico as recently as 2012. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; daughter, Judy Boon and son-in-law, Robert Book. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Robert) Book and Linda Bergerson; her grandchildren, Mark (Shelly) Book, Tyler Book, Hope (Scott) Mikkelson, Kerry Boon and Corey (Jenn) Burmester; her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn (Brady) Grewe, Michael Book, Alex Gallagher-Burmester, Elizabeth, Adam, Israel and Kaito Mikkelson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Salvation Army or Hospice.
