June 24, 1898 --- December 9, 1984

Mrs. Wilhelmina Marie Elizabeth Swalve, 86, of Clear Lake and formerly of Klemme, died Sunday [Dec. 9, 1984] at a Garner nursing home. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm, Thursday at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme, with the Rev. Julius Rechtermann officiating. Burial will be in Ell township Cemetery, Klemme. Visitation will be after 10 this morning at Tenold Funeral Home, Klemme.

Mrs. Swalve was born June 24, 1898, in Homestead, to John and Wilhelmina Sanderfelt. At age 5, she moved to Vinton, where she attended schools, and at age 14 moved to Klemme. She married John Swalve on Dec. 23, 1918, and they farmed in the Klemme area until 1948, when they retired and built a home in Clear Lake. After Mr. Swalve died, she worked as a cook at Ritter Nursing Home in Clear Lake.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Wilma) Cline, Mason city; a son, Raymond, Fremont, Calif.; a sister, Laura Sanderfelt, Chrles City, and three grandsons, two step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
